Butterflies and Hurricanes

I haven't been able to post the last few days because I got sick. Going online made me completely nauseous. Great way to start summer vacation, right? Well, I am much better now. Thank you, Lord. :] Decided to post an outfit Kyle shot a couple of weeks back. I'm wearing my boater hat, a top from PH's Car, cuffed denim shorts, boots from HK and a backpack from SM.

Bracelets: DIY  braided lace and nuts, random wooden beaded bracelets

I love the color of this bag! Don't you? :]

Kyle's been taking some lovely photos of my shoes lately :] Thanks, Kyle! :D
Hype on lookbook and chictopia! :]

I just saw the trailer for the second part of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. This should be interesting. Cannot wait to see it! July 15, why are you so far away? I'd say come sooner but I want summer to last as long as it can, haha. I've still got quite a lot of things I want to do and there are some places I have yet to visit. :]

Best, you've got to be the best
You've got to change the world
And use this chance to be heard
Your time is now

Back to Arkham

When I saw this shirt, I thought really hard about buying it. It was inexpensive but I wanted a dark gray Batman shirt, not a navy blue one. In the end I ended up getting it and I am mighty glad I did. Kyle shot this a couple of weeks ago and he helped me with the title and quote of this particular post (thank you :D).

The last time I read a Batman comic was in January, if I'm not mistaken. I kind of miss it. It was a light and easy read especially compared to the book I'm reading now. I'm currently reading The Wise Man's Fear by Patrick Rothfuss. The story is actually pretty interesting and I do want to read more of it. It is just so long. It has 994 pages and 152 chapters. Also, I must mention that this book is quite big and has a tiny font, haha. It is all words. It's a challenge, but I am totally up for it! Maybe I find it challenging because I skipped the first book (there are a lot of terms and concepts I'm trying to remember). No available copy here in the Philippines and I was so curious about this ginormous book that I decided to buy it anyway, haha. Since I'm still in the early part of the book, I'm hoping I'll understand everything, enjoy it and finish it soon. There are so many other books I want to read too and I must make time for those before classes start again.

I know that in the beginning of the year I was always writing about reading. I guess once school started I had other things to write about, haha. I've read many other books besides the ones I've posted and I am still following my goal of finishing at least 2 books a month.

Are you tired of reading about my reading (haha, corny, I know)? I hope you aren't but if you are, you'll be happy because we're now going onto my outfit. I'm wearing a Batman shirt from SM, glasses from Nava, denim shorts, star-printed socks and wedges from Parisian. I thought the socks would be a good accent. Fine. Who am I kidding? I'm sure you've all noticed I use every chance I get to pair socks with heels, haha. I honestly don't think I'll ever tire of doing that, but if I do it definitely won't be anytime soon.

❤ Sasha Pivovarova

Sasha Pivovarova is one seriously amazing model. She's gorgeous and has such a distinct look. She was an art history student in Russia when her friend (and now husband) sent some pictures of her to IMG. That's when her career started. In her first season of fashion week, Prada signed her to a 3year exclusive advertising contract. She's been on too many magazine covers to count and has appeared in even more campaigns than those. She also currently ranks #4 on models.com. She has a love for art and draws during her spare time. Karl Lagerfeld asked her to draw for Chanel before and her work has been exhibited. Sasha really is talented and extremely gorgeous! :]

Little Red Diving Hood

Finals are now officially over! Yay! But I can't say that I'm on summer break as I have to go back to SoFA next Tuesday for a business pitch. That should be interesting, haha. Anyway, sorry for the lack of posts the past few days. I was really busy with projects that took up a serious amount of time. I'm happy with most of them and I really hope I get good grades this term!

I wore this a while ago to present my final project in school and to a really fun day afterwards. Took outfit shots with Kyle and met up real quick with some old classmates. I wanted to wear red for the campaign of Chictopia for Japan. I also just bought this striped tank top so I thought they'd go perfectly together. The outfit has a nautical feel to it which I love.

If you were wondering about the title, Kyle cleverly came up with it. :] I love Little Red Riding Hood and Little Red gone nautical meant Little Red Diving Hood to him, haha! I guess it fits my outfit anyway, haha. Trying to think of other ways to style this blazer. I want a more forest-y vibe, but I'll talk about that some other time. Right now, I want to sleep. The past 3 nights have been pretty stressful and without sleep. Really happy I get to sleep in tomorrow morning, haha. Anyway, I'm wearing a vintage red blazer, a striped tank top, and highwaist denim shorts, socks and heels all from SM.

One more thing! We were searching for the perfect place to shoot so you'll see various locations in this post, haha. :]

This is my favorite shot of the day! :] Thanks, Kyle! :]

On our way back to the house we spotted this mirror and decided to play around a bit, haha. :]

Hype on lookbook and chictopia! :]

That's all for tonight though I know it was quite a lot! :] More posts in the coming days! Enjoy Holy Week! :]

"What are you doing out here, little girl?" the wolf asked in a voice as friendly as he could muster.
"I'm on my way to see my Grandma who lives through the forest, near the brook,"  Little Red Riding Hood replied.

Betty

I am taking a break from drawing and decided to do an outfit post. These were taken by Kyle last Friday at Rockwell. I'm wearing a top from PH's Car, cuffed denim shorts, a belt from Belle York, shoes from Suelas and a backpack from SM.

Hype on lookbook and chictopia! :]

Love this backpack! I've been wanting to buy one and I finally found one I was happy with, haha. Yay for Morbie Dolls! I think Alice will be there for quite some time. :]

Better shot of the doll. I love her dress! I also love how Ms Ish painted the face! Gorgeous :] thank you again, Ms Ish! :]

Really comfy Suelas and a peek of my orange socks, hahaha.

This is a little screenshot of what we did in Digital Fashion Illustration last Tuesday. Fun!

Is it obvious that I'm rushing? I hope not! I just have so many things to do and finish and have been thinking nonstop this whole day. I really needed to do something to take my mind off school, but I'm not so sure this worked. Oh, well.

I got the title of this post from a song by Brooke Fraser. If you want to listen to it, here it is! It's a beautiful song! I also love the music video. Flowers are amazing. I'd love to shoot in a field of flowers one day. That'd be perfectly lovely. Must get back to school work. Grace and patience. Please, Lord.

You're cool coy, 'bout your strawberry hip
It's you that's hidden by the expectations
We want to see you, won't you show us where to start?
