Fall 2012: Viktor & Rolf

I don't think I ever had a whole week with no updates on my blog. I had lots of entries drafted but those only had pictures and I really had no time to write. :[ Sorry about that! Was hard at work on my midterm projects and all my homework. Had to set my priorities and school definitely came before blogging. I'm extremely happy with how my work turned out and I can't wait to show it to all of you! :] I still have two more midterms to finish this week but they won't be as time consuming! The other one is a practical exam for Advanced Draping so I won't even need to prepare for that, haha! How I've missed writing these entries!

Fall 2012: Anna Sui

I have always loved Anna Sui and I was excited to see her Fall 2012 collection! I couldn't help but smile and say "ooooh" while viewing it. It is too darn cute. From all the hats and gloves to all the colors and prints and patterns. Ahhh. Seeing things like this make me so happy!

I'm currently preparing my Weekly Inspiration post but I don't know if I'll have it ready by tonight or tomorrow! I'm trying to change it up a bit and make it better so please bear with me. :]

For now, enjoy these photos and let me know what you think!

Fall 2012: Proenza Schouler

This collection left me breathless. From the moment I saw it I couldn't get it out of my head!! The clothes from Proenza Schouler never ever fail to amaze me! There are a lot of boots I've been loving this fashion week! Some of which are included in this post! :] What do you guys think of this collection?

❤ Iconic London

Charlotte Wiggins in Burberry Prorsum captured by Stefan Khoo. Would love to do a shoot like this someday!

❤ Glacial Glamour

One of the most stunning editorials I've seen lately. Amazing styling, modeling, photography-- basically everything's pretty much perfect.

BTS: BS CT Graduation Show

Here are some behind-the-scenes photos from the BS CT Grad Show! :] I know I said I'd post them yesterday, but I had to prioritize other things.

BS CT Graduation Show

Last October 15, 2011 was a big day for me and for my friend Rowhe. It was my first time doing runway and it was my friend's graduation show for BS Clothing Technology (UP Diliman). The fashion show was for one of her classes which was taught by my professor (in SoFA), Miss Ish Orendain. Remember the Alice Morbie Doll that went with me to Europe? Ms Ish made that. :]

Spring 2012 RTW: Milan

I got back from Cebu last night. Spent the weekend there with my family to celebrate my mom's birthday. It was loads of fun. Pictures from the trip soon. Anyway, here's batch 3 from Milan Fashion Week! Sorry this is taking forever, haha.

Spring 2012 RTW: London

Feels like there's so much to finish before Tuesday (first day back at SoFA), but so little time to actually do so. Oh, well, haha. Can't do anything about it so it's better to stay positive. Here are more looks from London Fashion Week. Sorry for the slow updates. More of these tomorrow :]

Spring 2012 RTW: New York

Another set of photos I like from New York Fashion Week. Jason Wu is slowly growing on me, and Jill Stuart's collection is magnificent.

Spring 2012 RTW: New York

Here is the third batch of photos I like from New York Fashion Week. There are so many designers who show their collections there. I have hundreds of photos to sort through, but I'm okay with that. I find the looks inspiring. Makes me want to sew, haha!

Spring 2012 RTW: New York

Most designers are now showcasing their collections for fashion week and since I'm following it closely, I thought it'd be nice to share with you the ones I like, love, or find interesting (or pretty, haha).

❤ She's a Rainbow

A beautiful spread I found on fgr months ago. I only though of posting it now, haha. My bad. Needed something to take my mind off production management (last paper for this term!) and found this in my bookmarked pages.

❤ Vivienne Westwood

I've admired Vivienne Westwood from the moment I learned of her. She is someone who inspires me and makes me want to work hard to get to where I want to be. She takes risks, starts trends, and does what she wants without letting the opinions of others distract her. She is fearless and that is something I aspire to be. Her designs are always interesting (especially the makeup of her models on the runway) and rebellious in a way. I love how she gets inspiration from historical costumes. She's been in the fashion industry for nearly 4 decades and she doesn't show any sign of slowing down. She's most known for starting the punk movement in fashion but her brand/label has grown enormously over the years. Here are some of my favorite looks that she designed. :]

Katy Perry ❤ Viktor & Rolf

So Kyle told me that Katy Perry had a new video out. I asked what song and he said E.T. I thought, hey this should be interesting. And interesting it was. Three words. VIKTOR & ROLF. I was seriously going "oh my gosh" when I saw the dress in the video, hahaha. Might be a bit shallow but they're my favorite designers! This isn't the first time Katy's worn Viktor & Rolf either, so that part didn't really surprise me. What surprised me was the dress she wore because if you see it on the runway, I'm pretty sure you wouldn't be thinking, "Wow, this totally reminds me of aliens." Here's a picture of the dress (on the runway) she wore in the video.

Does that remind you of aliens or anything extraterrestrial? Well, it doesn't make me think of those stuff, haha. But Katy somehow made it fit into her video and I applaud her for that. Gotta love Katy Perry. My sister thought I was weird for freaking over a V&R dress in the video and not how weird or different Katy looked, hahaha. As I close, here are more pictures of Katy Perry in V&R. :] Funny how both dresses are from the Spring 2010 collection (my absolute favorite!), haha. :]

You're from a whole other world
A different dimension
You open my eyes
And I'm ready to go
Lead me into the light

❤ Camilla Akrans

I know I normally post about designers and models but I wanted to change things up a bit and post about a photographer. I learned about Camilla Akrans through Fashion Gone Rogue and I wanted to share some of her pictures with you. I love how soft and dainty her pictures can be-- some are even a bit whimsical which is perfection to me. She's shot for many magazines including various editions of Vogue, Numéro, Industrie and Harper's Bazaar among others. She's also shot many campaigns and has worked with H&M, Herve Leger, Max Azria, Filippa K, Monsoon and many other designers/brands. It was a bit hard finding a biography on her so I'll just show you her photographs. Hope you guys like them! :]

❤ O'2nd Spring 2011 Campaign

This is my favorite Spring 2011 campaign! O'2nd is a Korean brand and they got Tim Walker to photograph this set. I love the concept and the outcome!! Everything looks so brilliantly cute! I find it adorable that the models are supposed to be tiny dolls or Thumbelinas in the photos. It seems so dainty, feminine, girly and whimsical, which is definitely me! This campaign always makes me say "awwww," hahaha! Do you guys like it? :]
