Hello there, Mr. Bunny!

As promised, I am introducing you all to Mr. Bunny. I've been wanting a bunny stuffed toy for a really long time now (over a year and some months), but I could never find the perfect one. Kyle found this on his recent trip to Hong Kong and bought him for me! Isn't he just adorable?

Week 1: Tea Party with Mr. Bunny

The first illustration I managed to complete this 2012, haha. Still working on my paisley print! I'll share that once I've finished it! I hope it turns out nicely, haha. It's taking me forever :\

2011 Recap

And here is what happened on my blog in the year 2011. Really feels like it just breezed by, haha. I'm really thankful for all the things that happened! It was a good year, but I'm pretty sure 2012 will be even better!

A million thanks to all the people who read, view, and support this blog! I know it takes up some of your precious time so really, thank you from the bottom of my little heart ❤ This blog really wouldn't be where it is now without you! ❤ I'm planning to improve my posts and to update more often this year and I hope you continue to join me! Again, thank you so so much! ❤

Spectacles

Here are some frames you'll be seeing a lot of in 2012! I can't wait to show you the photos we've taken with them.

Hello, 2012!

2011 is officially gone and I am beyond excited for this new year! I have a bunch of things planned and I mean to really do them, haha. My goal for last year wasn't fulfilled (wasn't able to read 2 books a month :[ ) and I won't let that happen this year!

Farewell, 2011!

2011 was a great year. So many wonderful things happened and I could not be more grateful. It was also my first year of blogging and I had a blast! I'm pretty sure 2012 will be even better! So let's enjoy the few more hours 2011 has!

Thank you, Lord, for all your blessings!

HAPPY NEW YEAR, EVERYONE!! Have fun and stay safe! ;]

And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body. And be thankful. Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God. And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.

- Colossians 3:15-17

On a Plane

... to Paris! Do you remember me saying about 2 weeks ago that I'd be busy with things that weren't related to school? Well, this was it. I went to Paris and Berlin with my mom for 12 days and had such an amazing time. It was nice being able to travel with just my mother. Major bonding time, haha! :] Also, I must thank her for taking my outfit shots during the whole trip and for the most awesome vacation ever! Thank you, mom! I love you! :]

We were very fortunate to be able to stay with an amazing Filipina in Paris. Thank you T. Raymond for introducing us to your sister (more on her and her wonderful family in a few days :]), who then introduced us to Tita Chita. Her place in Paris was gorgeous and so conveniently located. The interior design was also extremely pretty and homey. I really miss that place! Hope I can go back and visit soon!

We went to two department stores on our real first day in Paris. Real first day because we arrived around 10pm the night before and were too exhausted from the 14hour flight to Amsterdam and the flight from there to Paris, haha. The first one we went to was Printemps.  Tita Chita took us to the top and showed us its magnificent view of Paris. It's the same view you'd see from the top of the Eiffel Tower which you'll see in two photos below! :]

There it is! ❤

With mother dearest :]

The next place we went to was another department store. It's more known and really, really huge. They even have a branch in Berlin! Ever heard of Galeries Lafayette? Well, that's where we went! They sell just about everything and I had so much fun looking at all the shoes they were selling. If you get a chance to go there, do look up and admire all the prettiness you'll see (check out photos below)! :]

From there, we headed to Montmartre. I should tell you that we took the metro to all these places and to pretty much everywhere else. It was really easy to learn and it was very practical. I wish we had the same system in the Philippines! Haha. :]

Back to Montmartre. It's a very famous tourist attraction and of course it's gorgeous like everything else in Paris.

As you can see, we decided to take some outfit shots here, haha! :]

So much bigger than the birds I'm used to seeing here at home, haha!

Another shot of the Church in Montmartre

A little restaurant we found that sold some familiar food! And no, we didn't eat burgers, haha.

Yummy, yummy sweets! :D There was a little girl adoring the display too, haha!

I'll be posting more pictures in the coming days. I'm really excited and would post everyday if I could, but I missed two weeks of school and have some catching up to do. I'll work as fast as I can so I can go back to blogging as soon as possible. :]

I'm wearing:

Scarf from H&M
Thrifted printed dress
Thrifted sheer, floral button down
Gray tights from Forever 21
Belt and Backpack from SM Department Store
Loafers from So Fab

Walk as one with the 2011 Havaianas Filipinas Collection

Fashion has become an avenue to express love for one’s country. As nationalism meets style, the Philippine archipelago, faces of former presidents, heroes, and other national icons are now widely used as designs to convey patriotic statements. Since 2006, Havaianas has honored the Philippines’ rich and colorful culture with designs that embody the spirit of Filipino pride. This June, Havaianas joins the country as it celebrates its 113th year of independence with the release of this year’s Limited Edition Havaianas Filipinas Collection.

❤ The News from Paris

The News from Paris is an editorial from Harper's Bazaar US January 2008. It stars Sasha Pivovarova, was styled by Melanie Ward and was shot by Anthony Ward. The story doesn't seem too cohesive. I don't know if it's just me that doesn't get it but it's all right. It's still awesome and I have a feeling they meant it to be that way, haha. The shots are great and the colored ones are so vibrant. Sasha P is amazing! I love her work and have been following it but I only found out tonight (while searching for this ed) that she's married, haha! Wow! I can't believe I didn't know that. I was able to see some of the photos her husband, Igor Vishnyakov, took of her. I should post about her soon. :] Maybe this week since my next post for Sprinkle the Pixie Dust Loves will be about a model I like. Okay, I'm getting excited and distracted. Back to the editorial. Some shots are purely whimsical and that's what I loved about it. There are also some gorgeous clothes here! Great hair and makeup too! I'll save everything I wanna say about Sasha for my post about her. :] For now, here's the spread. Hope you guys like it! :]

Flopsy, Mopsy and Cotton-tail

I love Beatrix Potter and Peter Rabbit is one of my favorite stories by her because it was the first one I ever read. I remember watching the movie a lot when I was younger and I've always had a fascination with bunnies. I used to collect stuffed toys and all that, haha. I wonder if they're still around.

I wore this to Church and a children's party last Sunday. I helped out at the party by teaching kids some crafts. It was fun but pretty tiring. I'm wearing a knitted beret from Forever 21, a Cotton On t-shirt, black skinnies and my gray boots from HK. I bought the sweater from my classmate and that was a really good buy! I love it to bits! I've been wearing it everyday since I bought it, haha! I think I'll let it rest tomorrow.

Sunglasses from Forever 21 and the necklaces were gifts :] The key one is from Kyle :] and the bunny/Alice in Wonderland one from Patricia :] Thanks, guys! ❤

Curiouser and Curiouser!

I wanted to show you guys one of my favorite editorials ever. It was shot by Annie Leibovitz and modeled by Natalia Vodianova. It was a reenactment of Alice in Wonderland and appeared in Vogue US in December 2003. I've always loved Alice and when i saw this spread I fell in love. I loved all the designers in the photos and Natalia was fantastic! The dresses were quite amazing too! I hope I get the chance to do a shoot similar to this! That'd probably be one of my dream photo shoots. This post will be a bit photo heavy because I just could not remove pictures to shorten the post! Haha :] I really love each and every one of the photos and I hope you all love them as much as I do!
