Au Revoir, 2010

Here's a quick outfit post to end the year with. I actually have about 3 more outfit posts from the past few days but I'll blog about them next year, haha. I wore this outfit on Christmas Eve. My family and I spend that night with our relatives every year. It's pretty much what we do for Christmas. Took these pictures at my cousins' place. I'm wearing a blue, lace dress from H&M and nude pumps from Parisian (which were a gift from Kyle. Thank you :]). I have this same dress in green and you can view that outfit post here :]

How weird is it that this is the last day of 2010? I loved this year because I met so many wonderful people and so many great things happened. I'm really thankful for everything that happened this year and I can't believe the year is ending. I know next year will be even better and I can't wait for that! :] I hope you all had an awesome 2010 and I pray that 2011 will be full of blessings. Happy New Year's, everyone! Enjoy the fireworks but stay safe. Let's pray for no fires and accidents :]

Definitely an odd Christmas tree. Santa heads everywhere, hahaha. :]

Permanent December

I wore this outfit to the Christmas party of my mom's office last week. I was actually wearing something else then changed into this at the last minute, haha. I'm wearing a black top, a feather necklace from Charlotte Russe, an army green skirt (though it doesn't really look so green in the pictures), a black H&M belt and sandals from Parisian. You can probably tell from the pictures that the skirt I'm wearing is somewhat stiff. There were other pictures but the skirt looked weird so I ended up choosing these 3 photos only, haha. I totally love how a feather necklace and studded sandals can make the simplest outfits look more put together :]

I visited Meralco with my family tonight to look at their Christmas lights. Every Christmas they put up lights and let the public go in to look at them. They have a little train now that you can ride. It looks really small but can fit quite a lot of people.  It's in the middle of this little Meralco village full of lights. It's actually a really cute thing to look at. We always end up going after Christmas because there are less people, haha. I didn't really take that many pictures a while ago. Thankfully, my brother took some and I'm using most of them now, haha. Did any of you visit Meralco this year? :]

❤ Elie Saab

Elie Saab is one of my favorite designers. I love his gowns and if I don't design my own wedding dress, I'd want to wear one of his lovely creations. He has amazing taste and it shows. He also knows how to dress women very well. His dresses flatter the figures of women and this is why he has a lot of celebrity clients. Halle Berry, Beyoncé, Dakota Fanning, Katy Perry are a few of his well-known clients. Elie Saab is one of the go to designers for a red carpet look and he never fails to make people look breath-taking.

Saab's love for dressmaking started when he was 9 years old. He would cut patterns and sketch designs for his sisters using his mother's table cloths and curtains in his free time. He opened his first atelier at 18 and had 10 employees. He focused on evening gowns and wedding dresses. He's designed for royalty like princesses and Queen Rania of Jordan. He became popular in 2002 when Halle Berry won an Oscar wearing his design. He showed a couture collection in Paris the next year and impressed many people. Two years later he expanded by showing ready-to-wear collections too.

Whenever a new season of fashion week begins, I impatiently wait for the collections of some designers. Elie Saab is definitely one of those designers. I never miss his collections and I always find something I love. I dream of the day I get to wear any of his creations, haha :]

Oh, Audrey

Wore this last week for some last minute Christmas shopping with my family at Fully Booked in High Street. After that we had dinner at Mesa in Greenbelt 5 then we watched the lights show at Ayala Triangle. It was a really fun night!

I'm not sure if you've noticed but I love wearing blue and red together. I've posted two other outfits (which you can view here and here) with the same colors and in all cases, I didn't know what to wear. I guess they're my go to colors because they're effortlessly chic and easy to wear. It's also super easy to match things with these two colors. Now to my outfit, I'm wearing an Audrey Hepburn shirt, tights from Forever 21, houndstooth Mary Janes from Keds and a red beret. Got the bag in HK and I bought it because of the lip-shaped handle :]

Finally! You guys can sort of see my Lego watch and charm bracelet. I love them and wear them with almost everything. Especially the watch. I'll make a post about the accessories I frequently use very soon :] This picture was taken in Mesa.

Blurry shot but I still love it :]

If you were wondering about the title, I absolutely adore Audrey Hepburn. Yes, she was on my shirt so that has something to do with it too, haha. She's also unbelievably gorgeous and has amazing style. She also has some really good quotes and sayings. Can't wait to share those with you! I'd write about her now but I'll save that for another post. Enjoy the shots below :]

The Fanciful Sunflower

Before anything else I'd like to greet everyone Happy Holidays! It's Christmas Eve tomorrow and I cannot wait! Super excited to spend time with my family and relatives :] I hope you all have fun tomorrow!

Here's another outfit post for you guys. This is the "dressed up" version of what I wore to a day of last minute Christmas shopping at Greenbelt and High Street. I figured walking in Greenbelt, from end to end of High Street and from High Street to Market Market in heels would be painful, so I wore other shoes. More on that casual look later. I made the skirt I'm wearing and it's one of my favorite pieces I've made so far. I really love this particular floral-printed fabric I found because of the colors. They're quite loud but they work together. Not the typical pastel-colored, baby floral-printed fabric, though there's absolutely nothing wrong with those! I own quite a lot of clothes with that type of fabric, haha. If you keep reading you'll see a better picture of the skirt :]

I paired my skirt with my boater hat, a tee from Forever 21, a yellow cardigan, a yellow belt, floral printed socks and wedges. I got that bag from HK. I'm covering the shape of the handle  but you'll see what it looks like in another outfit post :]

The pictures below show the casual version of my outfit. I paired the outfit with shoes from H&M and an oversized letterman jacket. Sorry for the very unflattering shots of my bag, haha. I wanted it near me because I'm quite paranoid when it comes to losing my things and just leaving them anywhere. I only realized I should've fixed my bag and made it look a bit more presentable when I saw the pictures. Oh, well. I'll keep that in mind next time.

Here's a close up of the skirt I made! The fabric has yellow, bright neon green, red, orange and blue on it :]
