Lego!

It's my little sister's birthday today and her favorite toy right now is Lego. I love Lego and it reminds me of my childhood. 'Til this day I enjoy putting them together and making things. Maybe that's a bit childish but I don't really care, haha. It's pretty relaxing for me. I always liked building things so I guess that has a lot to do with it. I know this is really different from my regular posts but sometimes different is good. My sister pretty much completed the Toy Story 3 Lego sets. I wanted to share the sets I'm hoping she'll want, haha! They are a bit pricey though. Okay, not a bit. They're very pricey. Still, I love looking at them and in all honesty, I just want to build them, hahaha! I'll post about our trip to Legoland sometime soon. The fondness for all things Lego runs in the family, haha. For now,  I'll share the Lego sets I find amusing :]

Harry Potter and Quidditch! Need I say more?

Hogwarts Castle!

Batman Lego!  This Arkham Asylum set sells above $350. Crazy!

I know it's Batman Lego but I think the Harley Quinn minifigure is the cutest! :]

This is too cute! It's one of the most expensive sets though. It sells for almost $500!

This Christmas village is adorable! I'd love to have this one, haha. :]

I'm still trying to figure out how this was put together, haha.

My friend Danika Navarro of Hello Rio and [FHQ] is representing SoFA for the RISQ competition. Please show some love and vote for her here :] You can also read her interview there. Thanks, guys! :]

Black & Blue

I wore this outfit a couple of weeks ago to watch a movie with some friends (Hello, NY!). We ended up watching The Tourist. Loved my outfit but the movie, not so much, haha. It was kinda weird but I'll talk about my outfit which I know more about, haha. I'm wearing a striped, navy blue (though it may not seem so in the pictures) cape from HK, a gray tank top that came with it, black skinny jeans, Charles & Keith booties and my bowler hat. I have another version of this outfit below so keep reading! I wasn't sure how I wanted to wear this particular top. I loved the jeans and heels combo but I'd be walking around a lot and I wanted to be practical. Flats were the way to go but they looked better with the skirt. But then again I was going to watch a movie and it'd be cold in the cinema. Sometimes the way I over-analyze things is annoying. Especially when it comes to my wardrobe. Oh, how my mind works, haha! I ended up wearing my cape with jeans and sandals which, sadly, I don't have a picture of. So please forgive me and enjoy these photos instead :] Oh, and thanks to Kyle for the photos and title! :]

YUM! Don't you just love pretty heels? :]

Accessories: necklaces from HK, Just G, Forever 21 and Kyle :], silver bangles from Belle York, Lego watch and charm bracelet, pony tail holder.

Close up of rings. Fox and owl rings from PLF and elephant ring from Belle York :]

The photos below are the second version of my outfit. I used the cape with a basic, black skirt from H&M, studded sandals from Parisian and the same accessories. Which version do you like better? :]

My dear, come again, your voice is fading out and in
Out of the laundry bin, I found my inner sense again

❤ Viktor & Rolf

Viktor Horsting and Rolf Snoeren met at the Arnhem Academy of Art and Design in The Netherlands. They were both studying fashion and began to work together right after they graduated. In 1993, they moved to Paris and had their first show which was based on distortion, reconstruction and layering. They showed their first Haute Couture collection in 1998 but returned to Ready-to-Wear in 2000. In 2003, they started doing menswear and in 2005, they launched their first perfume, Flowerbomb, which was a collaboration with L'Oreal. They've also partnered with H&M, Samsonite, Swarovski and Shu Uemura. They gained attention because of their artistic, concept-driven runway presentations. They do everything over-the-top and exaggerated which is why I love them.

While doing research for this post, I watched one of their fashion shows called "Russian Doll" and my heart literally stopped. The concept was so amazing I nearly cried, haha. Yes, that's quite dramatic but Viktor & Rolf are my favorite designers and everything they do stuns me. I hope they start doing Couture again because I'm pretty sure that'd be mind-blowingly awesome. :]

They have a book called The House of Viktor & Rolf and I've been wanting a copy for quite some time already. It has pictures of their early work and I really want to see that. Hopefully I'll be able to get my copy soon!

It was really hard narrowing down the photos for this post. There were so many things I wanted to share with you but that'd be too overwhelming, haha. I chose my favorites and you'll see them below :] I'm really, really excited for Paris Fashion Week so I can see what these guys have prepared for us! Cannot wait! :]

Visit the Viktor & Rolf library to watch their collections here. :]

A Finer Frenzy

I wanted to post a little something before I go to sleep. I was meaning to post something longer but I'm really tired. I'll finish that post tomorrow when I'm not trying to keep my eyes open, haha. Lack of sleep is annoying. I shall make up for that now and leave you with this song, Blow Away by A Fine Frenzy. The song's fun and catchy and the music video is really cute. A fun song to end a really fun day! :]

We are old in your teen aged tyranny
And all you need is a hunger to feed
I've got my own secrets though, say what?

Dark Victory

These photos were taken by Kyle on December 29th last year. He came over and we had lunch at Eastwood with my younger sister. I'm wearing a black Cotton On top, bleached denim shorts, a paperclip necklace from Forever 21, heels from Parisian and a hat from Kyle. I have detailed shots of my bag and watch below.

I was having a hard time uploading photos for this post. "Server rejected" kept popping up and that was beyond annoying. I googled it and managed to fix it. Thank you, Lord! I wasted time doing that but at least it's fixed now, haha.

If you're wondering about the title of this post, I got it from another Batman comic. I was clueless as to what to call this post and saw the book on my bed. Its cover is red and black so I decided to go with that. I'm also currently reading it so that also had something to do with my decision, haha. It is January 25th and the 4th week of the year. I've read 7 books so far and I must say I'm proud of myself, haha! I must keep it up. Read, read, read. Here's a list of the books I've finished reading.

1. Batman: Year One
2. Batman: Haunted Knight
3. The Hunger Games
4. Catching Fire
5. Mockingjay
6. Batman: The Long Halloween
7. Hans Andersen's Fairy Tales

Dark Victory would be my 8th book and 4th comic book this year. I know I've been reading a lot of Batman comics, haha. I wanted to try to understand why Kyle started reading them like crazy all of a sudden. They're actually quite interesting. But being me, I still prefer novels and the like, haha. It's just nice to try reading different things every once in a while. Okay, enough about books! Here are more outfit shots :]

Doone & Bourke bag from my aunt. Thank you, Tita! :]

Closer shot of the bag.
