Yolanda Moon

As you can tell from the awesome poster made by the awesome Niro, it's the launch of Yolanda Moon on April 4th! That's already next Wednesday! But if you're curious and wanna see them before that, they have an event on March 29th (this Thursday). Check it out over here! If you wanna know more about the band, keep reading. :D

C. S. Lewis Song

I've always loved this song but for some reason I can't get it out of my head. Not a bad song to be singing though. :] Just thought I'd share it with you all! :]

If the flesh that I fight is at best only light and momentary,
then of course I'll feel nude when to where I'm destined I'm compared

- C. S. Lewis Song, Brooke Fraser

Lead Balloon

Something that's been stuck in my head for the past few weeks. Love this song by Rosi Golan!

I've been strung along and carried by a lead balloon
Oh but how could I have ever left the ground
When the reason I've been struggling pulling my weight is you
You're my love, you're my lead balloon

-Lead Balloon, Rosi Golan

My Heart Skips a Beat

Such a cute song and video! Lenka actually made two videos for this. The one I'm posting was the first one released. She works closely with her husband as he is a visual artist. He does her album art and some music videos, including this one. The second version is equally cute and if you want to see that, click this. :]

My heart is playing stricks on me
And it's building bricks on me
I can't break through
And I can't face you

-Heart Skips a Beat, Lenka

Hell No

The song is much, much sweeter than what you might think because of its title, haha. I will always love Regina Spektor and Sondre Lerche is pretty awesome too. Together, they are undeniably cute and when she fumbles and laughs, well, it is quite endearing, haha. Hope you like the song as much as I do! :]

Maybe I was in the dark
But why'd you have to steal my heart?
Well, I didn't plan to go berserk
Baby, you were such a jerk

-Hell No, Sondre Lerche & Regina Spektor

Katy Perry ❤ Viktor & Rolf

So Kyle told me that Katy Perry had a new video out. I asked what song and he said E.T. I thought, hey this should be interesting. And interesting it was. Three words. VIKTOR & ROLF. I was seriously going "oh my gosh" when I saw the dress in the video, hahaha. Might be a bit shallow but they're my favorite designers! This isn't the first time Katy's worn Viktor & Rolf either, so that part didn't really surprise me. What surprised me was the dress she wore because if you see it on the runway, I'm pretty sure you wouldn't be thinking, "Wow, this totally reminds me of aliens." Here's a picture of the dress (on the runway) she wore in the video.

Does that remind you of aliens or anything extraterrestrial? Well, it doesn't make me think of those stuff, haha. But Katy somehow made it fit into her video and I applaud her for that. Gotta love Katy Perry. My sister thought I was weird for freaking over a V&R dress in the video and not how weird or different Katy looked, hahaha. As I close, here are more pictures of Katy Perry in V&R. :] Funny how both dresses are from the Spring 2010 collection (my absolute favorite!), haha. :]

You're from a whole other world
A different dimension
You open my eyes
And I'm ready to go
Lead me into the light

-E.T., Katy Perry

Paris Nights/ New York Mornings

I was thinking of something to post and this song came to mind. There have been many things on my mind-- and not in a bad way at all. I've been very, hmm, I guess inspired is the right word. I've been wanting to do so many things lately but I have to remember to maintain a healthy balance of everything. I don't wanna grow up too fast. After all, I have 2 years left of being a teenager. Might as well make the most of it, haha. So being the organized person I am, I wrote everything down so I don't forget all my ideas, haha. I hope that helps! I really want to do so many things! I want to read tons of books, make a bunch of stuff, draw all the clothes I envision in my mind ,but I can only do a little of each at a time. Here's to time management! I really want to start feeling more productive again. Somehow working on getting good grades isn't enough. What to do, what to do (besides pray, that is)? For now, I'll just sing along to this lovely song by the amazing Corinne Bailey Rae. Oh, and I love that blue dress she's wearing! She looks fabulous in it! That's all for now. Hope you had a great Saturday! :]

Smiling at the rain 'cause you hold me close
My best dress on underneath this old coat
Walking down Bleecker, no one is awake yet

-Paris Nights/New York Mornings, Corinne Bailey Rae

A Finer Frenzy

I wanted to post a little something before I go to sleep. I was meaning to post something longer but I'm really tired. I'll finish that post tomorrow when I'm not trying to keep my eyes open, haha. Lack of sleep is annoying. I shall make up for that now and leave you with this song, Blow Away by A Fine Frenzy. The song's fun and catchy and the music video is really cute. A fun song to end a really fun day! :]

We are old in your teen aged tyranny
And all you need is a hunger to feed
I've got my own secrets though, say what?

-Blow Away, A Fine Frenzy

Something in the Water

Sorry for the lack of outfit posts this week! Classes resumed and I got sick. I missed one class and was stuck in bed the whole day yesterday. I'm better now (no more fever, yay!) but I still have a pretty bad headache. I promise to post as soon as I can. For now, enjoy this song by Brooke Fraser. It never fails to cheer me up and I've been listening to it since the day it was released, haha. Hope you guys like it! :]

I'll pretend that it's no thing
The skip in my heart when I think
Of you thinking of me, babe
I'm crazy over you

-Something in the Water, Brooke Fraser
