Flower Child

These photos were taken by Kyle some time back and I wasn't able to post them until now. Sadly, the sun didn't want to cooperate with us that day, haha. We didn't let that stop us and I think we got some good photos!

I finally finished The Wise Man's Fear by Patrick Rothfuss!!! I want more. Haha. I am now on the hunt for his first book, The Name of the Wind. I will search for it 'til I lay my hands on one, haha. I might have to put that on hold though. :[ School starts this week. Summer went by way too fast. And though I normally don't like the rain, it does make the weather a lot cooler. Much more bearable than the summer heat we experienced, haha. However, I do like sunshine and it will be dearly missed.

On another note, I am going to be busy the next two weeks. Even though school starts this week already, the stuff I'll be doing isn't really related to school, haha. I fear I won't have any time to blog so I prepared some scheduled posts (much like this one) for you guys. :] It's my first time doing this thing and I hope it works fine, haha! In the meantime, please enjoy these photos. :]

"No man is brave that has never walked a hundred miles. If you want to know the truth of who you are, walk until not a person knows your name. Travel is the great leveler, the great teacher, bitter as medicine, crueler than mirror-glass. A long stretch of road will teach you more about yourself than a hundred years of quiet introspection

A Rose of Remembrance

Today was an interesting day. I spent the whole morning at the LTO and now have my driver's license, haha! Dad waited with me and we probably looked funny compared to everyone else. Father and daughter sitting beside each other and not talking. Well, that was because we were both reading. I was reading The Wise Man's Fear and I am so close to finishing it! I must say I am proud of myself, haha! Is it weird that I'm more excited about the book than being able to drive already? Maybe it is, but the story is perfection. When I have the luxury of time, I will read it again. For now though, I must focus on other things-- including finding the first book of that particular series by Patrick Rothfuss. Haha, yes. Books again! :]

Did you notice anything different in the photo above? I normally watermark my photos with sprinklethepixiedust but Kyle has a logo now! You'll be seeing this on all his photographs from now on. It is simple and unique and was created by the awesome Niro Donato! :] Great job, Niro!! The logo is pretty easy to see and I'm sure you guys won't miss it. :] Doing that was a challenge for me, as I'd rather have it as subtle as can be-- meaning hardly noticeable. But these are Kyle's photos after all, haha.

I'm not sure if you've noticed but I just added a new widget to my blog. My cousin, Jacqui, is currently raising funds to help stop all types of blood cancers from taking more lives. When you click the widget, it links you to her fundraising page where you can donate any amount you wish to donate. She is doing an admirable and inspiring thing so let's all show her our support, yeah? :]

In case you didn't see the widget, here's a picture of what it looks like on my blog. :] Just click it to learn more about the cause.

Reach for the Skies!

I had a fun day today! Hmm, maybe I should say I had a fun day yesterday since it's already 1am, haha. I met up with one of my best friends, Phoebe, and had such a good time catching up. I also got to sing again at church and be part of the worship team after over a year, I believe. More good memories please! :]

Rings, Rings, Rings

Last Thursday I had a shoot in UP for Sachico Shop. They have the most adorable rings ever and once again, I must thank my friend, Mich, for making this possible. She was the one who introduced me to Annelle, the owner of the shop. Merci beaucoup, Mich! :] Thanks to Annelle too! I had fun working with you. :]

I also enjoyed doing this shoot and I'm really happy with the results. These photos were taken and edited by Tinee Cruz. Isn't she amazing? :] Here are more pictures of the rings from Sachico Shop's latest collection. There are only a few pieces left so go over here to see what you can get! :]

Stripes and Elephant Socks

Being my boring old self, I spent most of the day reading. I'm not sure if you remember, but I mentioned reading a book called The Wise Man's Fear before. I'm more than halfway through now and I am loving every bit of the story! It's so hard getting hooked to a gigantic book that's nearly a thousand pages long, haha. Not in the sense that it hurts my eyes or anything. The book's just really big. It's hard to bring around and after a while I get tired of holding it, haha. But those things don't stop me from reading it or bringing it with me wherever I go. I will soon take a picture of me reading it so you can see just how big the book really is. Am I boring you? Sorry for that! Now let's talk about my outfit :]

As usual Kyle took these photos :] I'm wearing a striped cape from HK, bleached denim shorts, a camera necklace from Just G and I'm carrying a lovely hat from SM-- you'll see a picture of it on my head later. :] I'm also carrying my trusty brown backpack and you'll see a tiny, tiny bit of my Alice Morbie Doll! Can you spot it? :]

Silly me. I can't remember if I really made this face or if I was singing. I think it was the first, hahaha.

Accessories: Lego watch, Pacman bracelet, Lego charm bracelet

The hat's actually on my head this time! Haha :]

Kyle takes brilliant shots. Love this one!

"In the Theophany, Teccam writes of secrets, calling them painful treasure of the mind.He explains that what most people think of as secrets are really nothing of the sort. Mysteries, for example, are not secrets. Neither are little-known facts or forgotten truths. A secret, Teccam explains, is true knowledge actively concealed."
