Farewell, 2011!

2011 was a great year. So many wonderful things happened and I could not be more grateful. It was also my first year of blogging and I had a blast! I'm pretty sure 2012 will be even better! So let's enjoy the few more hours 2011 has!

Thank you, Lord, for all your blessings!

HAPPY NEW YEAR, EVERYONE!! Have fun and stay safe! ;]

And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body. And be thankful. Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God. And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.

- Colossians 3:15-17

Chum Lee

Took these photos the first Friday of December and absolutely fell in love with Chum Lee, the puppy of Kyle's dad. It's been quite some time since we (my family) have had a puppy. Our labrador is getting older and while we love him to bits my mom always wanted a little dog of her own. So my brother decided to get her a puppy for Christmas! We are now no longer puppy-less, haha! The puppy we have now is a black shih tzu. She's adorable! Her name is Jenna (like the dog from Balto, heehee. Loved that movie as a child!). I'll post photos of her when I can! :D

Little Creatures

Here are some photos of gifts I made for my friends this Christmas! :] I made over 15 of these little creatures and I don't have pictures of all of them. I love making cute things like these! They make me happy, haha. More DIY-ing and crafts next year for sure!

Beaver Batman iPhone Case

Here's that gift I mentioned in my entry last night! :] I made Kyle a Beaver Batman iPhone case, heehee. He loves the two so I thought of putting them together. Really, really proud of what I came up with! :D Heehee.

Paisley & Deathly Hallows

Here's what I wore last Friday! I was really excited to use my Deathly Hallows tank top because I silk screened it myself. Had to do this for class so I thought I'd go ahead and let myself by the Harry Potter dork I really am. Hahaha. It was fun making this and I plan to make more next year! Thanks to Tita Karen for helping me out! :]

Help CDO

I'm sure most of you have heard about what's happened to CDO and Iligan City due to the storm Sendong. Let's all try to help out in any way we can. I'll be donating clothes, shoes, and whatever else I can! Hope you guys do the same. After all, it is the season of giving.

❤ Iconic London

Charlotte Wiggins in Burberry Prorsum captured by Stefan Khoo. Would love to do a shoot like this someday!

Spring 2012: Versace

Here's a collection for Spring 2012 that I absolutely adore! All the prints are marvelous. And the colors. Wow. Such perfection! Donatella did such a great job on this. I love the sea and Greek inspiration. How I would love to wear (or simply see in person) any of those printed pieces! Do you guys like this collection too? :]

Floral Comb

I made this comb awhile back and never really got around to posting it (sorry, I know I always do this, haha). Anyway, it's something I've been wanting to make for a really long time. Really happy with how it turned out!! :]

Sailboats

According to the folder where I found these outfit shots, I wore this on September 8th. Yup, that long ago! My bad for not posting them earlier, haha. I think I pretty much forgot they existed.

Can you tell that I am in love with this top?? I think it's pretty obvious, haha. :] I've worn this top with a a maxi skirt and two midi skirts already. I have yet to post the other outfit, but there's just something about this oversized knit top that goes with skirts! I know not everybody likes wearing loose garments as both tops and bottoms but that's exactly my cup of tea. :]

*Edit* This was my 200th blog post!! Haha :]

Let the Rain

I wore this outfit a couple of fridays ago. I brought this umbrella with me that day because it matched my outfit, HAHA. But, hey, good thing I brought it because it started to rain while we were shooting and it also rained later that night. Poor suede shoes got wet!

Feature: Miss-Match

Thank you so much to Flor Trinidad for this feature! Great job you guys (Tippi, Alyssa, and Flor :D)!! Can't wait to see your other posts! :]

On the Radio

Wore this to school some weeks ago. I love how my blazer and boots match in color, haha. Added my favorite burnt orange cloche hat and wore my orange glasses so my outfit wouldn't seem too pink. Also, the jeans I'm wearing here are now my favorite pair! They're super comfy and super soft. Plus, they actually fit really well! Yay! Got them at H&M (when I went to HK) along with 2 other pairs of pants. I'll try to post outfits with those pairs soon. :]

❤ Gypsies, Tramps & Thieves

I immediately fell in love with these photos the moment I saw them. I mean, come on. A horse, awesome styling, awesome pictures, and Kelley Ash is quickly becoming a new favorite model. Keep reading to see all the photos! I promise you won't regret it! :]

TOMS Give Fair

Here's another TOMS event you don't want to miss out on! :]

They were in our minds
Until forever
But we didn't mind
We didn't know better

The Dark Knight

As mentioned it my post earlier, my blog has now turned 1! Still can't believe how fast everything went by, haha. Anyway, here are some shots Kyle took a long while back that I only got around to posting now. Do you remember this teaser post? Well, the photos are finally up! :]

Sprinkle the Pixie Dust's 1st Anniversary!

Today my blog turns 1! Thank you so so so much to absolutely everyone who has supported this blog! It's been an amazing year and I still can't believe I've been doing this for a year now! Hope you guys will continue to support Sprinkle the Pixie Dust! :]

Guide to New Layout

As you can tell, I decided to give my blog a little makeover! It's something I've been wanting to do for a while now. I thought it'd be perfect to do it around this time since my blog is turning 1 tomorrow! I'll post more about that tomorrow. For now, here's a guide on the new layout.

Style Your Sole

If any of you are free this weekend, you should definitely try to go to this event! When else will you get the opportunity to have your TOMS shoes personalized? :]

Happenstance and circumstance are all knotted up in the start of us

Girl Scout

Totally loving these photos shot by the awesome Kyle. :] Decided to call this post girl scout because one of my cousins said it reminded him of one even though the colors aren't the typical girl scout colors, haha.

❤ Glacial Glamour

One of the most stunning editorials I've seen lately. Amazing styling, modeling, photography-- basically everything's pretty much perfect.

Mad Hatter

Here's the outfit I wore on 11-11-11. The hat was a wonderful birthday surprise from Kyle. He knows how much I love hats and Alice in Wonderland so he decided to make me a Mad Hatter hat! As you can see, it's pretty big, haha. Keep reading to see some pictures taken during the process of making this hat!

Spring 2012: Elie Saab

A gorgeous collection with amazing details, cuts and colors that deserves to be shared. I just love Elie Saab. Totally freaked out when I saw the outside of his showroom in Paris, haha.

Birthday Girl

Had a wonderful birthday weekend with my family and friends! Can't believe this will be my last year as a teenager, haha. Thanks to everyone who made this birthday special. :] You know who you guys are! I'll post more about what I did for my birthday within the week. :]

Books

Here are some of the books and magazines I'm currently reading. Wish I had more time to read but I've been pretty busy with school. Hope that'll change when all my midterms are over! Haha :]

Cebu

Went to Cebu last month to celebrate my mom's birthday. Here are some pictures I took on our second day there. Wasn't really able to take that many photos, haha. Thanks to my brother Enzo for taking my outfit shots! :]

❤ Versace for H&M Lookbook

Loving this lookbook! The clothes are great and who doesn't love Abbey Lee Kershaw? Haha. I particularly like that first dress. It's quite gorgeous. I really wish I lived near an H&M that will release this collection.

Spring 2012: Paris

Loving these collections from Akris, Kenzo, Veronique Leroy, and Isabel Marant!

BTS: BS CT Graduation Show

Here are some behind-the-scenes photos from the BS CT Grad Show! :] I know I said I'd post them yesterday, but I had to prioritize other things.

Hear the Bells

Wore this a few weeks back to watch a show with Kyle. We had some time to spare before the show started so we decided to have a little shoot. Please don't mind the cellphone in my pocket in the first two pictures, haha.

BS CT Graduation Show

Last October 15, 2011 was a big day for me and for my friend Rowhe. It was my first time doing runway and it was my friend's graduation show for BS Clothing Technology (UP Diliman). The fashion show was for one of her classes which was taught by my professor (in SoFA), Miss Ish Orendain. Remember the Alice Morbie Doll that went with me to Europe? Ms Ish made that. :]

Lead Balloon

Something that's been stuck in my head for the past few weeks. Love this song by Rosi Golan!

I've been strung along and carried by a lead balloon
Oh but how could I have ever left the ground
When the reason I've been struggling pulling my weight is you
You're my love, you're my lead balloon

-Lead Balloon, Rosi Golan

Soon.

Here's a little sneak peak at something I shot with Kyle. :]

"I'm whatever Gotham needs me to be."

-Batman, The Dark Knight

Cars and a Bunny

Wore this last Friday to a movie with some girl friends and youth service later on with Kyle and my brother, Enzo.

Feature: College Fashionista

I was featured on College Fashionista thanks to the wonderful Patricia Prieto! To read the article go here or just click the picture! If you want to read the blog entry for that particular outfit, go here. :]

You've got the loudest bark, but you've got no bite
It's a funny sight to see
Like a paper tiger hanging on a string
Darling, you don't bother me

Underneath a Beating Heart

There are times when I really, really wish it weren't so hot in the Philippines so I could wear nice chunky knits. That won't really be a problem now because it is freezing in the new building of SoFA, haha. I wore shorts to school last week and my legs went numb. It's seriously cold in the classrooms, haha. Perfect for layering and for jackets, knits, tights, boots, and hats! Dressing up for school should be more fun now! :]

Spring 2012 RTW: Milan

Here's batch 4 of Milan Fashion Week. Antonio Marras, Bottega Veneta, Marni, and Prada!

Blues and Whites

I wore this to the 60th birthday party of my uncle. It was a really happy family gathering. Too bad my uncle didn't have his voice that night! Decided to wear something comfortable, but I wasn't too sure of what to put together. Picked random stuff from my closet and most of what I got were in shades of blue and white. Blue. I really tend to dress in that color when I don't know what to wear, haha.

Spring 2012 RTW: Milan

I got back from Cebu last night. Spent the weekend there with my family to celebrate my mom's birthday. It was loads of fun. Pictures from the trip soon. Anyway, here's batch 3 from Milan Fashion Week! Sorry this is taking forever, haha.

Bangkok, Day 2 (Part 2)

Here is part 2 of day 2 in Bangkok. This post is full of elephants, haha. They are magnificently adorable creatures. Isn't the stoplight above pretty cool?

Spring 2012 RTW: Milan

Here's batch 2 from Milan Fashion Week. I know it's taking me awhile to post these. Sorry, I've been quite the busy little bee. I love the colors and the smart use of sheer fabric from Alberta Ferretti's latest collection.

Bangkok, Day 2 (Part 1)

And finally, here is part 1 of day 2 of our trip to Bangkok. We went to the Grand Palace, a crocodile and elephant farm, and MBK that day. I don't have too many photos from the Grand Palace and MBK because we didn't stay long at the Grand Palace and we were too busy shopping at MBK, hahaha!
